Donations of winter clothing and hygiene supplies needed!

Community Connect is a free, one-day event that helps people connect with housing, health care and other services that they need. It is also an opportunity for our community to come together to lend a hand. 

Community Connect organizers are seeking the following donations to make this year's event a success. Donations can be brought to Dorothy Day House (1712 Jefferson Street) or Gimaajii (202 W 2nd Street). Please, new items unless otherwise noted:

FOOT CARE

- NEW socks (cotton and thermal)

- NEW fingernail and toenail clippers

- UNOPENED foot powder

- UNOPENED antifungal cream

- NEW pumice stones
- UNOPENED foot powder

HAIR CARE

- NEW combs and picks

- UNOPENED travel-size shampoo

WINTER SURVIVAL

- winter hats, gloves and scarves (gently used okay)

- boots - adult sizes (gently used okay)

- tarps (gently used okay)

- sleeping bags (gently used okay)

- backpacks (gently used okay)

- hand warmers

- single-ride bus passes
